We interview all our Carers before hiring them, and if we can we will meet for playdates to see them in action with children in their care at the time. We then do a police check, reference check, and social media search.
All our Carers are offered a Sub Contractor Agreement to build a rapport with Families and meet Temporary demands like one off Bookings, Nighttime Care, and School Holidays. We pay the Carers Withholding Tax on their behalf.
Once a Carer has joined our team we ensure their First Aid is current and applicable to children, we create them an online profile and availability calendar, and then they are ready to meet or jump straight into working with our Families! -
Casual Daytime Education and Care Cancellations require 5 days notice to avoid an invoice of the full amount booked.*
Long Term Education and Care Cancellations require 2 weeks notice to avoid an invoice of the full amount booked.
Nighttime Care Cancellations require 2 days notice to avoid an invoice of the full amount booked.*
Alterations that require additional hours to the original booking will be invoiced as per the hourly rate.
Alterations that result in less hours, change of the start and end time, or postponing to another date require the same amount of notice as a Cancellation to avoid an invoice of the original booking plus the additional hours.
To avoid disappointment of the Carer having another Booking to attend to in that time, we recommend making alterations in advance by contacting us.

In the event of a Carer cancelling, they will contact our Team first to let us know they need to cancel. We will then contact you and offer you a reliever if one is available. If there are no relievers available or you wish to find your own then we will not invoice you for the booking.

For Casual Bookings, it will depend on the Carers availability. To avoid disappointment it is best to book in advance, or book your Primary Carer for the regular service you require a long term commitment for.
We understand that you will want a Primary Carer to build a rapport with your Family, and we want that connection for your family too, however we do encourage that you have Secondary Carers in mind in cases where your Primary Carer is already booked or needs to cancel. This allows us to provide you with a Secondary Carer faster and your family will find it less disruptive.

As we arn’t an Agency, we do not require a fee from Families or Carers to cover the costs of our Carers. Instead our hourly charge covers maintaining our Agreement responsibilities such as Withholding Tax, Admin costs, Business Insurance, First Aid Training, and so on. So our Families and Carers can relax knowing they are taken care of.
As we value transparency, we have no hidden costs. All our prices are GST inclusive and at the end of the online Booking process you’ll see a quote so you know what the estimated cost to you is.
We will charge a 10% Late Fee on all Invoices, including cancellations, if an Invoice is not paid within seven days of it being sent out to the email address supplied.
Public Holidays are the only occasion where we have a surcharge on the hourly rate to cover costs.
The only cost added onto a service at the end of the Booking is for Petrol and Expenses used to reimburse the Carer of costs incurred during the Booking, however this is the Carers responsibility and will not be included in the invoice. You will have verbally pre-approved these with the Carer and they will present a receipt on request.
Petrol reimbursement is charged at the current IRD Mileage Rate. Alternatively the Carer can use a suitable and compliant vehicle that you have supplied.

We currently are not registered to help with government subsidies such as ECE and OSCAR, however we are a registered ACC Vendor and WINZ Home Help Supplier which we are happy to help you through.

Our Carers are paid as Sub Contractors, therefore Families invoices include 15% GST, admin and bookkeeping costs, and then the remainder is the Carers gross hourly pay.
We are advocates for the Living Wage therefore no Carer is paid less than this amount as their gross hourly rate.
